Chess

In our “Chess” course, studies are carried out to develop students’ mental, concentration, learning, decision-making, teamwork, fair play and ethical values ​​acquisition skills. Opportunities that support their mental development are provided by creating strategy, planning and problem-solving opportunities. It contributes to players’ ability to focus and maintain long-term attention. The decision-making process in each move increases students’ thinking and evaluation skills. Since it is a game that emphasizes fair play and ethical values, it teaches students values ​​such as honesty, respect and healthy management of competition. It encourages strategic thinking and improves students’ ability to set and achieve long-term goals.

The chess program created in our school aims to provide students with a multi-faceted learning experience that contributes to their cognitive, emotional and social development.

Our students are directed to tournaments where they can participate individually according to their readiness and needs.

Our school chess team participates in provincial and district school sports tournaments.
