Social studies

Our main goal is to raise individuals who think critically, are creative, make the right decisions, have developed social participation skills, are active and productive in social life, know their rights and responsibilities, and have internalized the Kemalist thought system through the Social Studies and Republic of Turkey Revolution History and Kemalism Courses Program.

In line with these goals;

• Knowing and using their rights and fulfilling their responsibilities,
• Thinking, asking questions, exchanging opinions,
• Willing to keep national and universal values ​​alive,
• Protecting and developing cultural heritage,
• Able to establish the interaction between people and the natural environment by recognizing the geographical features of the environment and the world in which they live,
• Sensitive, free and aware of their abilities,
• Analytical thinker, nature-friendly,
• Knowing and assimilating their own culture and values,   

• Gained the ability to present his/her thoughts in a logical flow both in written and oral form and to support these thoughts with appropriate examples,
• He/she has understood and internalized the attitudes, behaviors and skills that will enable him/her to produce solutions to today’s and future’s problems with an Ataturkist approach.

Most importantly, our general approach is to raise global individuals who are sensitive to the environment and society in which they live and who can embrace universal values.

We aim for “permanent learning” by adopting curiosity and questioning as a principle in teaching Social Studies.

In this direction;

• Able to analyze historical information,
• Able to detect and break prejudices, and empathize,
• Able to think chronologically,
• Able to conduct inquiry-based research,
• Able to interpret visual materials,

The development of individuals constitutes our long-term goals.
