In the Department of Mathematics, with the belief that every student can learn mathematics; studies are planned to offer different perspectives by taking individual differences into consideration.

Based on daily life examples, students are made to realize that mathematics exists in every aspect of life and it is aimed to provide them with the necessary basic mathematical skills to solve the problems encountered.

The subjects in the mathematics curriculum are reinforced with interdisciplinary studies, in-class activities and planned trips.

Students are directed to national and international exams (Turkish Intelligence Games Competition, İSBO, MATBEG, International ASMA JUNIOR, International MOEMS, Kanguru MAT…v) and project studies (TÜBİTAK Inter-Secondary School Research Projects Competition, MEF Science and Technology High School Research Projects Competition, project competitions…etc.), and they are given the opportunity to develop their high-level thinking skills and produce creative solutions to the problems they encounter.

Curriculum programs are supported by in-class and out-of-class activities in which students actively participate. Trips related to course topics are planned each year to ensure that students see and understand mathematical concepts with concrete examples. With these trips, students are given the opportunity to experience mathematics outside the classroom as a part of daily life.

In order to carry our students’ mathematical knowledge and skills outside the classroom and provide them with an interdisciplinary perspective, increase their learning motivation and create learning opportunities according to their interests, the Mind Games & Kitchen Club and Film Club clubs offer the opportunity to make learning processes more interactive and fun.
