Dünya Gıda Günü, Beslenme ve Gıda İsrafını Önleme Haftası’nda 1945’te kurulmuş olan Birleşmiş Milletler Gıda ve Tarım Örgütü’nün (FAO) doğum günü de sayılan Dünya Gıda Günü kapsamında, dünya genelindeki açlık ve yoksulluk temaları için farkındalık yaratmak, herkesin gıda güvenliğine ve besleyici gıdalara ulaşmasına katkı sunmak amacıyla, yıl boyunca FAO üyesi ülkelerde çeşitli etkinlikler düzenlenmektedir.

Öğrencilerimize bu günün ve haftanın önemini anlatarak, yemeklerimizi yiyebileceğimiz kadar almaya, israfa sebebiyet vermemeye dikkat çektik ve Uzman Diyetisyen Emel ARSLAN'ın katılımıyla öğrencilerimizle "Sağlıklı Beslenme ve Smoothie Etkinliği"mizi gerçekleştirdik.

World Food Day, Nutrition and Food Waste Prevention Week established in 1945 in the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), which is also counted as the birthday of the World Food Day, world-wide hunger and poverty themes are used to create awareness for everyone, and various activities are organized throughout the year in FAO member countries in order to contribute to reach nutritious foods.

We highlighted the importance of this day and week to our students. We tried take as much food as we can eat and not to cause waste. We also held an “eating healthy and smoothie” event with the contributions of professional nutritionist Emel ARSLAN.

Every child has the right to the best possible health. Governments mustwork toprovidegoodquality healthcare, clean water,nutritious food and a clean environment so that children can stay healthy. Richer countries must help poorer countries achieve this.
